The first weekend of June, the Town of Wickenburg is celebrating its 110th Anniversary of Incorporation. The Centennial Plus 10 Celebration will include a full schedule of events for all ages with an emphasis on the centurions of the community.

Activities for children will be included in the 2019 Summer Kick Off on Friday, May 31st at Coffinger Park and the Municipal Swimming Pool Complex. A fun-filled and exciting line up of games, bounce houses, food and ice cream along with the season’s first Dive In Movie will get all in the spirit to celebrate! Free fun starts at 4:30 pm, the Pool Opens at 7 pm and the Dive In Movie, “Ralph Breaks the Internet” starts at 8 pm. (Standard Pool Admission Prices Apply for the Dive In Movie.)

The Centennial Plus 10 main event on Saturday, June 1st from 5 pm – 10 pm will include a kids parade, BBQ, beer garden, display of antique wagons, classy car show, games, silent auction, cake walk and a good ole’ fashioned country western street dance featuring Dan McCorrison and the Steel Nickel Band.
Local non-profits will have an opportunity to showcase their organizations and a few commercial booths will be made available for a reasonable vendor fee. In fond memory of the original Centennial Gathering, a new time capsule will be prepared so begin thinking about your best memories of Wickenburg and look for upcoming information about how to have them included in the new time capsule. Local youngsters will be selected to become “Capsule Keepers” for Wickenburg’s 150th Anniversary Celebration in 2059.
BBQ Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased for the low price of $5 for adults and $3 for children (12 and under). BBQ Tickets can be purchased at the Sun Newspaper Office, the Desert Caballeros Western Museum, The Chamber of Commerce or from your favorite Garter Girl! We highly encourage you to buy your tickets in advance as once the food is gone, it’s gone!
Complimentary meals will be provided to all residents 80 years old and older. No ticket or documentation required, simply please RSVP by calling Town Hall at 928-668-0520 and provide your name to be on the list and you will be announced at the celebration!
